Front-mount intercoolers: plan the complete installation
AIRTEC and Forge front-mount intercooler installations on two Audi TT builds.
These two Audi TT builds show different front-mount intercooler installations. The top photo shows an AIRTEC intercooler on the darker car; the lower photo shows a Forge Motorsport intercooler on the silver car. With the front bumpers removed, the cores, pipe connections and surrounding structure are visible.
Start with an exact kit application
Confirm the engine, model variant and current modifications before ordering. Check the application and fitting instructions for the exact AIRTEC or Forge kit you are considering. The two installations pictured use different kits; use the correct manufacturer’s instructions for your car.
Read the instructions before dismantling
Work through the manufacturer’s installation requirements with the fitter before the car is taken apart. Confirm the required components and any changes the kit specifies. Do not treat an exposed crash bar in a photograph as permission to modify vehicle structure.
Record the result honestly
Keep a record of the kit and fitting checks. These images document the hardware and workshop stage; they do not establish a power gain, intake-temperature reduction or completed road test. Those claims need actual measurements and a confirmed specification.
